I am interested in the function of avian ornamentation and the evolution of reproductive strategies.
The research of ornamentation takes place near Olomouc, where we have been working since 2005 on a nest box population of the Great Tit (Parus major). I am mainly interested in how different ornaments predicts parental effort.
The research of the evolution of reproductive strategies is literature based, hence the data collection takes place mostly in libraries. I am interested in factors which influence the evolution of parental behaviour in passerines.
